All good things...
1 November 2005
We've been receiving a lot of e-mails asking whether we'll be analysing the Deputies' elections in as much detail as we did the Senatorial.
The answer is that it's not as straightforward to cover the Deputies' elections because there are so many of them and the electorate is therefore very fragmented.
From a practical point of view, we have to get up to date with 50 candidates in the 23 contested seats, and that's taking a little time. The candidates are all listed here with links to their personal profiles which we hope to have completed by the end of this week.
We intend to report and comment on candidates' policies, and we will provide you with reports on selected hustings meetings, but we will have to focus our limited resources on the seats that are most hotly contested or that respresent the largest constituencies.
If you have any comments, suggestions or requests please contact us. As ever, we'll be delighted to hear from you.
